MLS-NEXT PROGRAM
OVERVIEW
The platform, created by Major League Soccer in 2020, includes more than 8,000 players throughout the U.S. and Canada, and consists of elite year-round competition, as well as player identification initiatives, coaching education opportunities, and additional programming to create the premier player development environment.
MLS NEXT is the highest youth league in the country, and includes youth teams from MLS Professional Clubs. Founded on a collaborative approach to governance and a commitment to innovation, MLS NEXT players have access to the highest levels of competition and to training.
SSA will have one clubwide team in each age group, coached by USSF/UEFA 'A' licensed coaches, and will practice and play out of our Marietta-area venues. Teams will play a year-round schedule of regular-season games, college showcase events, and playoffs requiring players to forgo the traditional High School spring season.
